History

The Philosophy Olympiad in Bulgaria was initiated in October 1988 by Ivan Kolev The Olympiad was founded in early 1989 by Ivan Kolev, Stojan Assenov and Alexander Andonov all members of Department of Philosophy of Sofia University.

The first Olympiad take place in June 1989 in Plovdiv.

1990 – Gabrovo.

1991 – Dobrich

1992 – Apriltsi

1993 – Smolyan

1995 – Stara Zagora

1996 – Sozopol

1997 – Sofia

1998 – Hisar

1999 – Stara Zagora

2000 – Bankya

2001 – Bamkya

2002 – Bankya

2003 – Bankya

2004 – Bankya

2005 – Plovdiv

2006 – Stara Zagora

2007 – Pravets

2008 – Sofia

2009 – Veliko Tarnovo

2010 – Shumen

2011 – Rousse

2012 – Blagoevgrad

2013 – SOzopol
